High time for an update...

Okay okay... I've been naughty and havent written anything for a long time... So here's a quick update of my activities since Egypt...

After Egypt I stopped over in Amsterdam for a few days to catch up with Matty. We hired a car and ventured out to Edam for the day. The towns around this area outside of Amsterdam are all so pretty. I could so easily live in this country!! The night before we went to the Xtracold Ice Bar and got a cocktail in a cute little cup made from an ice block. As you can guess, its pretty cold in there so you're given a big furry jacket and gloves but you're only allowed in there for 45 minutes.

After Amsterdam I stayed in London for a couple nights with Angela before I boarded the plane to come back to Australia. For Paula's birthday we caught up with a few others from our Turkey tour. I have to admit London has much more appeal when you've got someone to hang out with and things to do.

Once again I had a stop over in Singapore on the way back. I didnt have as much time this stop over but did manage a trip out to Changi for a look see. Once again I was amazed how beautiful this country is. So green and beautiful.

I got back to Australia mid May and stayed for a couple weeks in Newcastle before heading down to Mum and Dads in Batemans Bay. It felt really weird to stop travelling having gotten used to constantly being on the move and seeing and doing so many exciting things. The thought of staying in one place and just sitting still didn't appeal to me one little bit...

After a couple days in Batemans Bay, Mum and I decided to take a quick trip down to Melbourne. Mum wanted to see some of her family and I thought I'd take the chance to check out the Great Ocean Road after hearing so many Melbournites give it praise while I was overseas. Despite the cold weather and rain, it was a great trip and would love to go back in Summer.

Back in the Bay, Mum and Dad took off on their caravaning adventure a couple weeks ago. It sounds like they are having a great time and are currently looking for sapphires (??) in Emerald. Meanwhile, I've finally adjusted back to the quite life as there's not much to do around here and its been raining heaps. Luckily I missed the storms and floods in the Hunter altho it could have made life a little exciting for just a while... I've been attacking the gym in an effort to work off all the nice and incredibly unhealthy foods I devoured in Europe.

Over the next couple of weeks I'll be uploading some photos I didn't get the chance to put on previously and am planning an adventure to the snow...
